marks the entrance to the Keweenaw Harbor on Lake Superior. The Present lighthouse
was built after the Civil War in about 1869. The light house still stands and is
part of the Fort Wilkins State Park. There is no public road, so the lighthouse can
only be reached by boat. The Dwelling is now a small museum, and a member of the
Michigan Department of History gives the guided tour from May to September.
