Old Mackinaw Point went into service October 25, 1892. The forty-foot tall, turn
of the century light became obsolete when the Mackinaw Bridge opened in 1957. The
Lighthouse was converted into a maritime museum in 1960, as part of the Mackinaw
Island State Park. It is located on Huron St. in Mackinaw City.
