one of only a few harbors of refuge, along the south shore of Lake Michigan. Named
by the French Traders, Seul Choix means “Only Choice”. Seul Choix Point Light was
built in 1892 and is still in operation today. All of the original buildings are
still standing, including two oil buildings and a fog signal building. Today it houses
a museum and gift shop, and it open to the public during mid- June through mid- September.
It is easy to find off US-2 in Michigan's Upper Peninsula.
