one of the first Lighthouses on Lake Superior. Completed in 1849, it became an important
navigational point, it marks the entrance to White Fish Bay, very often the only
shelter for ships trying to escape Lake Superior storms. It still plays a very critical
role today with an automated light in the tower. The Great Lakes Ship Wreck Museum
is located in one of the buildings. Visitors are welcome May thru September.
