White Shoal lighthouse marks the passageway through the treacherous Gray Reef Passage
between Beaver Island and Waugoshance Point at Wilderness State Park, Carp Lake,
MI. It is located about 25 miles west of the Mackinac Bridge. It is the turning
point for large ships going to ports in Lower Lake Michigan. It is on of the few
lighthouses still in use on the Great Lakes.
